Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Employment Specialist to join our team to work with individuals within Delaware, Chester Montgomery and Philadelphia counties to provide employment support services. This role focuses on supporting individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive, integrated employment opportunities in Bucks County and some parts of Philadelphia. The Employment Specialist will work one-on-one with participants to identify career goals, develop job search skills, and provide on-the-job support, fostering long-term success and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial assessments to understand each participant's employment interests, strengths, and career goals.
- Develop individualized employment plans, setting clear, achievable milestones.
- Assist participants in identifying job opportunities, completing applications, and preparing for interviews.
- Provide on-site job coaching and support to help participants learn job tasks, understand workplace expectations, and build relationships with coworkers.
- Collaborate with employers to create a supportive work environment and advocate for participants’ needs and accommodations.
- Maintain regular communication with participants, employers, and family members to track progress, address challenges, and ensure a successful work experience.
- Facilitate skills training sessions, including resume writing, interview techniques, communication, and time management.
- Document participant progress, interactions, and any support provided according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Attend training sessions to stay current on best practices and strategies in supported employment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
- Previous experience in job coaching, employment support, or vocational counseling for individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to supporting individuals in achieving personal and professional growth.
- Familiarity with local job markets, employment resources, and disability rights is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for travel to participant sites.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
