Facilities Coordinator - Indirect Supplies
Major Responsibilities
- Source and purchase indirect materials, supplies, and services in accordance with company policies and budget requirements.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, including order tracking and resolving any discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Crosstrained as CMMS administrative support to Field Maintenance Organization.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
- Work closely with internal departments (Facilities, Finance, Operations) to identify supply needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Support standardization efforts across the organization for commonly used supplies.
- Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values.
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs and base-building systems.
- Working knowledge of lease terms, the reconciliation process for Common Area Maintenance, insurance, and real estate taxes.
- Working knowledge of contracts, master services agreements, scope of work and task orders.
- Ability to understand and compare bids, proposals and quotes to ensure best value for money is obtained.
Education and Experience
- 1 years relevant work experience, or any similar combination of education and experience. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
