Schedule
- $16.00 per hour. PAID WEEKLY!
- 2 PM-10:30 PM
- Monday through Friday *NO WEEKENDS*
Major Responsibilities:
- Sweeps, mops, and polishes floors. May be required to operate a power scrubber to clean
floors. Vacuums carpets in common areas and offices. - Will be required to operate power scrubbers to clean floors and PIV’s to collect trash and or pallets
- Removes and disposes trash from all areas. Breaks down and bundles carton boxes for
recycling; places boxes in bailer machine for consolidation. - Places boxes in Compactor for consolidation. Separate Plastic sheeting and Stretch Wrap for separate Baler. Dispose of all trash in to Trash Compactor.
- Monthly Outside clean-up of Parking areas.
- Cleans common areas, including tables, chairs, countertops, drinking fountains, doors, windows (inside and outside), refrigerators, microwaves, sinks, and eye wash stations.
- Uses cleansers and machinery in a safe manner according to manufacturers’ specifications.
- No Office/Bathroom/Breakroom duties (this is handled by outside contractor).
- Removes snow and ice from sidewalks, entrance areas, and dock doors as needed. Spreads de-icing salt as appropriate; maintains log.
- Understands and demonstrates Essendant’s Core Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned, must be able to work unsupervised. Must be able to perform duties daily at scheduled times and work assigned hours.
- Will work off of a Daily schedule of duties required but, will have flexibility in time and order of which they are done, unless specified by Manager.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Ability to perform all required tasks in the function according to established safety rules
and guidelines. - Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ability to perform all tasks in a safe manner, following all safety rules and guidelines.
- Ability to understand simple directions (verbal and written) in English.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Janitorial/custodial experience preferred
