The Role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis team based in our Lenexa, KS world headquarters. This role will report to the Manager of FP&A and will support the team in driving improvement through analysis of financial results and maintenance of key financial models.
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will assist in the annual budget and rolling forecast process and monthly variance analysis process while working with management to identify and analyze financial metrics, ratios and KPIs. This role will be responsible to update and maintain key models and reporting while ensuring data consistency and integrity. The Senior Financial Analyst will support management in the transition of reporting from Excel to BI Tools such as Qliksense and NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (NSPB) by maintaining support documents and presenting opportunities for improvement of current reporting and processes.
This position is a hybrid role, Mondays / Fridays remote and Tuesday-Thursday onsite in Lenexa, KS office.
Responsibilities : What Youll Do :
- Analyze financial performance in collaboration with Accountings month-end close process to understand historical results and make recommendations based on opportunities identified
- Conduct variance analysis at the account / country / department level
- Support the preparation of department financial review packages by explaining variances vs. Budget & Forecast
- Update and maintain financial models by ensuring data is up-to-date and accurate
- Work with Director and Manager to understand the relationship between financial models and maintain data integrity
- Make forecast changes as directed by management to ensure the rolling forecast and supporting models are current
- Update and maintain current Qliksense and NSPB support tools by ensuring data is reviewed and updated as necessary
- Work with management to identify opportunities to transition reporting from Excel to Qliksense and NSPB
- Ensure data reconciles with the system of record and communicates key points to the necessary stakeholders
- Develop, implement, and maintain reporting, processes and ad-hoc analysis based on opportunities or threats identified through analysis of the business
- Seek opportunities to research and analyze key metrics, ratios and other KPIs that impact the Company
