The Social Community Specialist plays a key role in being the voice of our brands across social media – engaging, responding, and creating meaningful conversations with brides-to-be. As a social media maven who knows how to spark conversations and build relationships, the Social Community Specialist will cultivate an active and growing community of followers, fans, and customers.

Responsibilities
A Day in the Life (What You’ll Do)
The Social Community Specialist should have strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated interest in the fashion or bridal industry. Candidates should be highly detail-oriented, with the ability to effectively and accurately communicate in both a standard daily office setting, as well as during pressured, time-sensitive situations.
Social Community Engagement
- Monitor all social platforms for trends and cultural moments important to the brand and brand’s target audience while engaging, growing and converting social media fans and followers.
- Expand and engage the social community with daily listening, maintenance, conversation and monitoring across all social platforms.
- Collaborate with Social Media team on content strategy and content creation that leverage social platforms, influencers and partnerships that drive business results.
- Understand brand voice and nuances across wholesale and retail brands. Ensure conversations reflect the appropriate voice. Manage and prioritize real-time audience communication across social channels.
- Create community engagement and crisis response strategies working in partnership with additional departments.
- Demonstrates strong crisis management skills by swiftly addressing and mitigating negative situations on social media platforms, ensuring brand reputation is maintained and customer concerns are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Identifies and capitalizes on relevant, real-time opportunities to engage in trending conversations and cultural moments outside of owned channels, strategically positioning the brand to increase visibility and foster authentic connections with the audience.
Reporting and Analytics
- Partner with Insights & Analytics to unlock insights through community management and research that can be applied to social strategy.
- Evaluate and present social findings and recommendations for implementation based off current social media landscape and trends, both within and outside the bridal industry.
- Analyze social performance data and community management insights to drive strategic adjustments. Develop and deliver effective presentations (both verbal and written) to internal stakeholders.
- Strategize with Social team and internal stakeholders to develop long-term plans supporting company growth goals.
Continuous Improvement
- Liaise with internal stakeholders across the marketing department to ensure proper social support of priorities and initiatives.
- Stay current of evolving social media platforms and inform internal stakeholders about new developments that impact the business and brand.
- Streamline processes through continuous improvement to gain efficiencies.
- Understand team goals and provide suggestions to improve and streamline day-to-day work and procedures.
Qualifications
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or relevant field preferred
- 2 – 4 years of experience managing a consumer brand’s social media presence on multiple social platforms. Bonus if experience includes working in bridal or fashion industries.
- Experience with a social management system preferred
- Strong passion for social media and a thirst for understanding social media platforms and strategies
- Fluent in social media trends, both current and long-term
- Ability to learn and retain product information to effectively communicate with audience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills
- Collaborator who excels working cross-functionally and cross-departmentally
- Strong attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, ability to follow-up and knowledge of overall social strategies
- Shows initiative, enthusiasm to learn and ability to follow direction
- Comfortable building and/or working on presentations and reports for internal stakeholders
- Strong team player who is also able to work independently and take initiative
