JOB DESCRIPTION
Essentia is seeking a Functional Consultant to join our growing commodity trading and risk management (CTRM) software implementation practice. We are seeking ambitious and energetic applicants who are eager to learn and to help us expand. As a Functional Consultant, you will gain unique experience working alongside some of the industries’ best energy experts, helping implement solutions directly with clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide clients with on-site client services: software training, troubleshooting and enhancement analysis, and business process advice, documentation, and tracking.
- Facilitate workshops to gather information, plan projects, analyze business and technical processes, document workflows, and resolve issues.
- Perform business analysis and design; gather and document detailed business and functional requirements in preparation for solution development.
- Generate functional documents during requirements gathering phase of the front, mid, & back-office trade lifecycle.
- Coordinate project lifecycle activities during design and development phases to ensure technology team understands the business requirements.
- Provide support during all testing phases to include: EtoE (End-to-End) & UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Support development of process and training materials within functional area.
- Perform system configuration activities.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Experience in some but not all the following:
- Studying a field in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems/Management Information Systems (MIS), Data Science/Analytics, Supply Chain Management/Logistics, Risk Management, Engineering, Economics, STEM, or a related business field.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Experience in commodity trading front office, middle office support related experience.
- Solid foundation with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with third parties and internal employees.
- Proactive, flexible, and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize when faced with multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
