Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Primary Care Specialty Team in Internal Medicine at Essentia Health's Baxter Clinic in Brainerd, Minnesota.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an ambulatory care setting, contributing to meeting the mission and goals of Essentia Health.
- Perform routine assessments, including measuring vital signs, recording patient histories, and observing symptoms to assist in diagnosing and monitoring patient health.
- Assist with procedures, such as preparing equipment, assisting with patient positioning, and ensuring proper infection control.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Coordinate follow-up appointments and referrals, conduct initial patient intake processes, and gather medical histories and update personal information.
Requirements
- Current registration or certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, with certification required within one year of hire.
- 8 hour shifts, day shift 7:30AM - 5:00PM.
