What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technician position at Essentia Health?
As a skilled Emergency Medical Technician, you will respond to emergent and non-emergent calls, assess situations, diagnose and treat patients for emergency needs. You will report patient information to medical staff in a timely and accurate manner. Your responsibilities will include obtaining basic medical histories and physical examinations of patients, assessing the urgency and seriousness of situations, and providing emergency care at the scene and during transit to the hospital. You will utilize necessary medical equipment to treat patients and communicate with medical care facilities about patient conditions, status, and time of arrival. In addition, you may be requested to provide patient care in the hospital setting, performing tasks delegated by RNs based on your training and capabilities.
