Job Description
This role is responsible for organizing and providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The successful candidate will delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. They will contribute to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meet the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing, and current license with the appropriate State Board of Nursing. Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year from the date of hire is also required. Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 year from date of hire is also preferred.
