Job Summary:
This position provides a warm welcome to patients and facilitates the registration process with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. The role involves collecting demographic and financial information from patients or their representatives via face-to-face and virtual interactions to ensure accurate patient registration, billing, and care provision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collects complete demographic details, financial information, and minimum health data from patients to ensure proper care is provided.
- Obtains copies of insurance cards, identification, and updates patient records as necessary.
- Conducts point-of-service data collection, including co-payments and down payments, and reconciles cash drawers for accurate accounting.
- Maintains assigned work queues according to supervisor's instructions.
- Provides excellent customer service by interacting positively with patients, coworkers, and others.
- Takes incoming calls, schedules appointments, and refers to clinical teams when needed.
- Cleans and sanitizes registration equipment between uses and restocks basic supplies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Patient Access Representative or Scheduler is preferred.
