Job Description
The pharmacist will optimize drug therapy to improve patient health outcomes and quality of life while ensuring access to medications and immunizations.
- Participate in clinical initiatives
- Assist with daily pharmacy department activities
- Train new staff and pharmacy students
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns
- Resolve customer service issues
- Billing and record keeping
- Monthly audits and other functions necessary for optimal pharmacy performance
Responsibilities
Inventory control, supply management and equipment maintenance, as well as accurate cash handling and other duties assigned by the department leader.
Licensure and Certification
Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (BS or PharmD degree required).
Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the relevant state board of pharmacy. If not licensed upon hire, must have a Pharmacy Intern License and/or be eligible to work as an intern and become a Registered Pharmacist within 90 days of hire.
Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state's Board of Pharmacy.
