At Essentia Health, we are seeking a skilled Radiology Technician and Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing their expertise in radiography and medical laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform supervised and unsupervised x-ray exams in an outpatient and inpatient setting
- Provide optimal patient care by utilizing established and accepted techniques during administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic imaging
- Evaluate abilities and perform safe transfers of patients to and from wheelchairs/carts with knowledge of safe handoff
- Assist with department workflow by completing exams in EPIC/PACS and cleaning/stocking exam rooms
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Graduate from a Medical Laboratory Assistant Program or complete an internal MLA training program within 1 year of hire
- Certification/Licensure Requirements: Complete Basic Radiographic Operator training and successfully pass the Minnesota Radiology Exam with 3 months of hire, or hold current Limited X-ray machine Operator (LXMO) licensure through the North Dakota Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board (NDBMIRT)
