Description :
We are seeking an experienced Estimator who is passionate about the broadband, telecom, and outside plant industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry requirements for all outside plant engineering and construction needs and possess the expertise to properly price projects accordingly.
Responsibilities :
- Review customer provided Request for Proposals (RFPs) documents to gain a full understanding including but not limited to project scope, RFP response requirements, project specifications, project schedule, and customer objectives.
- Develop comprehensive estimate and bid preparation templates specifically tailored to each RFP. project.
- Utilize expert-level proficiency in Excel to build cost breakdowns, high level schedules, risk registers, preliminary resource plans, and populate customer bid pricing forms pricing sheets for RFP submittals. client submissions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information and ensure accurate estimates.
- Conduct thorough analysis and research to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to present estimates, address inquiries, and provide recommendations as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve estimating processes and accuracy.
- Other miscellaneous duties related to Estimating as assigned.
