Fast track Lead
Non-RBT Track:
Milestones:
- Onboarding training must be completed within five weeks from start date
- Competency will be completed 30 days from the first day on the floor
- RBT certification is expected within 90 days of starting on the floor
- Regular check-ins will occur every 30 days with either Reena, Jovana or David
- Zero unexcused absences.
- One SIR written and submitted to PA
- Attend Medical Appointments and fill out the physician form
- A re-interview will be scheduled at the end of the 90 days
- Lead Position Requirements:
- Must have obtained RBT certification
- Successful completion of the interview process
- Bonus Structure:
- An additional $1,000 will be added to the RBT bonus, bringing the total
- RBT wage increase
- Wage Adjustment:
- If RBT certification is not achieved, the hourly wage will be adjusted to $25.
- RBT Track:
- Training Frame: Completed within 5 weeks

Qualifications
Under the supervision of the Program Administrator, provide relief support services in a 4-bed
community, highly structured residential care facility for individuals with developmental disabilities and
severe behavioral challenges. This is a non-exempt, 75% direct position that may be sent to any EBSI
location at any time. Due to the nature of the position, this employee will not be eligible for Full-Time
status, nor for full-time benefits, unless transferred to a Full-Time position with consistent hours.
ESSENTIAL SCHEDULING:
1. Will offer and be scheduled for no less than three shifts per week.
2. Must be available for at least one weekend shift three weekends per month. The agency will give
greater on-call shift schedules to those who demonstrate additional weekend availability.
3. Must arrive to the shift within 30-60 minutes of a designated supervisor’s call. Employees who
live within a 25-mile radius must be present within 30 minutes and those with a greater commute
(than 26 miles) must be on-site within no more than 60 minutes.
4. Failure to show up to a selected shift will result in corrective action. Due to the nature of this
position, the agency reserves the right to remove the employee from on-call relief work if more
than one “failure to show” is evidenced.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The purpose of this position is to create an environment where the Relief Lead can cover the
scheduled AND unscheduled of needs of both DSP and Lead staff. Please refer also to those
position statements, as the Relief Lead will step into these duties on a given day.
2. Participate as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team and assist in the evaluation and
assessment, treatment planning, and discharge planning for each individual.
3. Provide direct care, training and supervision to the individuals as prescribed in each IPP and
provided for in the Facility Program Design and Training Schedule.
4. Comply with facility policies and regulations.
5. Provide for the physical care, training, supervision and recreation of residents.
6. Be familiar with each resident's IPP goals, IBSP objectives and methods for achieving these goals
and objectives. Safely and effectively carry out Individual Emergency Intervention Plans (IEIP) as
designed.
7. Promote special and individual events for the individuals (birthdays, dances, community outings,
cultural celebrations, etc.).
8. Assist individuals with habit training, maintenance of a well-groomed appearance, and
maintenance of beds, clothing and living areas in a clean and orderly manner. This requires both
support skills and self-initiation skills of the successful direct support staff.
9. Work with SARC, workshop staff, and others to provide comprehensive program for the
individuals supported.
10. Assist and encourage the consumers in developing self-reliance in activities of daily living.11. Support and implement treatments and special diets as ordered by physician that do not require
licensed staff.
12. Attend resident council, monthly, quarterly, annual or other meetings as may be required or
requested.
13. Assure that each consumer receives substantial and appropriate attention daily.
14. Be continuously ready to assist consumers in areas of need.
15. Observe consumer conditions and behaviors, documenting in resident records significant issues
as they occur and notifying administrator/ director and/ or physician as needed. Report any
occurrences to on-coming shift, if appropriate.
16. Assist the Program Administrator in making full use of emergency resources.
17. Help create a safe, therapeutic, and home-like environment.
18. Participate in job shadowing and pass tests that are required within Title 17 or Title 22 timelines.
19. As a member of the treatment team, utilize and build upon the cultural strengths of each
consumer, providing appropriate interventions and resources.
20. Assist with coordination of and participation in consumer activities, including individual and
specific group activities as outlined on monthly calendar.
21. Escort consumers to intramural or extramural medical, health, or other community services, and
program outings (cultural and community events), including to SARC’s Specialized Behavioral
Management Day Program.
22. Demonstrate awareness of individual rights and potential for consumer abuse; promptly
reporting any adverse behavior, resident abuse or suspected abuse and/or neglect.
23. Act in a professional manner with other agencies, families, and professionals involved in
individuals’ treatment, from intake to discharge.
24. Ensure health and safety of all who EBSI supports.
25. Provide assistance with housekeeping chores; utilize infection prevention standards and
procedures and adherence to universal precautions.
26. Document all outside program contact with family, friends, and others.
27. Attend and participate in all required meetings as specified by supervisor to include but not be
limited to: case conferences, staff meetings, program planning meetings, staff process group
meetings, and linkage meetings with other agencies.
28. Comply with the EBSI policy requirement to submit proof of valid CDL, maintain good driving
record (as evidenced by initial submission of DMV report and ongoing approval as agency driver),
and submit proof of auto insurance for current period of coverage.
29. Ensure compliance with all SARC, CCL, local, state, and federal regulations, and ESSENTIAL
BEHAVIORAL SUPPORT, INC. Policies and Procedures.
30. Work the hours required and as scheduled by the Director of Operations or Program
Administrator, including overnights, weekends, holidays, occasional fill-in for other staff, and
on-call responsibilities. This includes mandatory trainings that may fall outside of the usual
scheduled shift.
31. Relief positions may be asked to arrive up to one hour prior to – or stay one hour later than – the
scheduled shift. This is inherent within the nature of the relief model and will, of course, be subjectto paid overtime as applicable. The Relief Lead shall remain on site until their scheduled or
identified replacement arrives to the home.
32. Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Must meet Title 17 and Title 22 requirements. Have at least twelve months
prior experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities, with a focus on
behavioral services, in a residential setting working with persons with behaviors that may impact health
and safety.
Skills and Abilities: Maturity and ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of personalities and
situations requiring tact, poise, friendliness, and sensitivity. Be able to maintain integrity and
confidentiality regulations in regard to client information and records. Sympathetic and objective
understanding of individuals with mental, emotional and developmental disabilities. Must be able to
communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate verbally by phone in
English in a clear and concise manner. Utilize positive "care taking" strategies for resident supervision.
Nurture and support multiple-challenged residents.
Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., approximately three (3) times per week. Must be able to
navigate several flights of stairs during each work shift. Ability to drive in heavy traffic and inclement
weather.
Mental Abilities: Ability to think clearly and manage multiple changing priorities, and remain pleasant
and positive. Requires critical thinking and ability to manage difficult population. Requires good
judgment
Salary : $25
