Job Summary:We're seeking an experienced Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team at Essential Building Services (EBS). As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll perform repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of apartment properties across the tri-county area. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of appliances, fixtures, and equipment
- Conduct inspections and identify potential issues
- Respond to and complete work orders efficiently and effectively
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance-related problems
- Collaborate with property management teams and residents
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and submit reports as required
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in handyman/maintenance work, preferably in apartment property maintenance
- Proven expertise in:
- Carpentry
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- HVAC
- General repairs
- Experience with work order software (AppFolio, Jobber, or similar)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in various environmental conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification / Education in maintenance or related field
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in work order software a plus (appfolio, jobber)
