Job Description
The Leasing Professional is responsible for being the community's client service representative. Their primary duties are to greet clients, present professionally the features and benefits of their assigned community, and properly secure lease agreements from qualified individuals.
Job Duties:
- Manage all aspects of the leasing process, from showing apartments to preparing lease paperwork and ensuring smooth move-ins.
- Welcome prospective residents, assess their needs, conduct apartment tours, and provide information about the community.
- Process applications, review lease agreements, and handle lease renewals.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, including providing leasing information and scheduling appointments.
- Assist with completing various reports as assigned by Leasing or Community Managers.
- Handle deposits and rental payments accurately and maintain proper records.
- Deliver excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor with all clients.
- Proficiency in property management software, preferably Yardi and/or One Site.
- Minimum of 6 months of apartment leasing experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service orientation and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in an organized manner.
- Flexible schedule availability, including weekends.
- Ability to conduct community tours, which may involve walking the property and climbing stairs.
- Conflict resolution skills and problem-solving abilities.
