Essentra is hiring a Human Resources Manager at our Erie, PA manufacturing and warehouse facility. This position requires an experienced and proactive HR professional to work on-site, offering strategic guidance and support to designated leadership partners while overseeing all HR functions for the Essentra Components team at the Station Road and McClelland locations in Erie, PA. As a strategic business partner, the HR Manager will offer coaching, development, and advisory support to leaders and managers, fostering strong people management practices and promoting management ownership of HR processes.
This is a full generalist role encompassing a broad spectrum of HR responsibilities, including talent management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations and well-being, diversity and inclusion, management capability, resourcing, and training and development. Additionally, the role involves leading and participating in key HR projects and programs to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
The HR Manager reports to the VP HR, Americas, has one direct report and will work closely with the Americas HR Team across the region that consist of Canada, U.S. locations, Mexico, Brazil and Costa Rica.
Typical Accountabilities :
Act as business partner and coach to leaders to improve leadership effectiveness and team capabilities.
Support resourcing with key recruitment as appropriate at all levels, up to director level appointments.
Manage the Company pay and reward processes in conjunction with reward and compensation team.
Involvement in HR projects as directed, including organizational development and effectiveness initiatives.
Take the lead on change management initiatives as appropriate.
Support site and regional diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Support and lead locally the Talent Management / Development and succession planning process within the business.
Manage employee engagement survey & activities and support the engagement action plans for each business function that is supported.
Drive the data collection, verification and submission for the annual HR processes such as Talent, merit & bonus, engagement survey, etc.
Work with leadership teams to ensure positive and proactive employee relations management.
Weekly reporting activity to VP HR, Americas on main HR activities and developments.
Maintenance of Dayforce HRIS system.
Ensure adherence to divisional and regional policies and procedures and also compliance with local employment law requirements and reporting
Perform related job duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in the human resources area, preferably in a manufacturing and commercial / sales environment.
Previous experience managing employees on-site and remotely.
Generalist background, with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, communications, performance management, and training and development.
Advanced project management skills to effectively manage time and prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks without close supervision, and consistently meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field. Master's degree and SHRM or PHR / SPHR certification is a plus but not required.
Demonstrated business partnering skills in leading OD / OE and change management initiatives.
Previous experience with mergers, acquisitions and integrations is a plus.
Previous experience working in Latin America is a plus, along with Spanish skills (not required)
Willingness to travel to other sites as needed (up to 10% travel)
