Essentra is a global market leader in plastic injection molded, vinyl dip molded and metal components for our partners in the equipment manufacturing, automotive, industrial electronics, fabrication, medical devices, renewable energy, production machinery, construction and agriculture industries.
Essentra is seeking a self-motivated and driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team out of our Westchester, IL office. The Inside Sales Rep (ISR) will work closely with the general manager and inside sales manager regarding day-to-day development and execution of the inside sales strategy at Essentra Components to drive revenue and sales growth. They will act as the liaison between the company and the customer, responsible for creating long-term, trusting relationships, develop existing business and actively seek new sales opportunities. The Inside Sales Representative will utilize customer, product, and industry specific knowledge to engage and grow the customer base. The Inside Sales Representative will perform many of the same duties as the experienced ISR with more direct supervision and oversight.
This is a hybrid role that will require working in the office 3 days per week.
As an Inside Sales Representative for Essentra you will:
- Develop new business with existing customers and/or qualify new opportunities
- Coordinate with the Manager to manage large projects and multi-step opportunities through CRM/Pipeline Report
- Collaborate with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepare and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answer inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provide information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Ensure orders, samples are entered and shipped accurately and on-time
- Responsible for quoting catalog items as well as simple non-stock items
- Report weekly updates within territory in regard to new opportunities, wins or losses
- Maintain customer database by entering new accounts, maintaining existing accounts and consistently adding relevant notes
- Ensure that the Essentra Components service proposition is being executed on a daily basis
- Acquire and maintain product knowledge and market trends
- Participate in weekly meetings as well as cross functional management meetings
- Perform other related duties as assigned

What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field or in a related area
- Ability to work in an office environment or remote office location
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Has a basic understanding of products and applications
- Requires basic math and order entry skills
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Experience in an Industrial Sales Role preferred

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
