Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Student Development and Career Services or designee, the Part-time Technical Assistant will perform responsibilities related to assisting in the day-to-day operations of Disability Services in the Office of Student Development and Counseling. Supervisory Role Oral and written instructions are received from the Director of Student Development and Career Services or designee. The Technical Assistant may supervise student workers. Duties & Responsibilities 1. Handle routine office functions including managing appointments and admission of visitors, telephone coverage, and referring inquiries to the appropriate areas. 2. Assist with Banner data processing, record maintenance, and related activities. 3. Complete moderately complex and routine word-processing and transcription duties. 4. Prepare, process, and file supply requisitions, purchase orders, and related documents. 5. Assist with operational and administrative details inclusive of workshops and special activities implementation. 6. Schedule and perform formal Test Proctoring. 7. Establish, maintain, and update an effective and accurate filing / retrieval system for Disability Services. 8. Arrange and coordinate required services with other college areas including, but not limited to, Print Shop, Media Production & Technology (MPT), Mailroom / Shipping & Receiving, etc. 9. Maintain and control materials and supplies. 10. Maintain strict confidentiality and security of records. 11. Prepare routine, special, and ancillary reports as required. 12.
