CASEWORKER
No Civil Service Exam
This role is part of the Essex County Department of Social Services, responsible for delivering professional case management services to clients and their families. The goal is to help them navigate economic, emotional, social, and environmental challenges.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or New York State Registered college or university is required. Alternatively, an Associate's degree and three years of experience providing Human Services to the public can also qualify.
Important Note:
As part of the HELPS Program through the NYS Department of Civil Service, this title has been approved without the need to take a civil service exam until June 30th, 2025. Candidates appointed permanently will not be required to take the exam and will retain their position even after the HELP Program ends.
