Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Expanded Function Dental Assistant to join our experienced team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing high-quality dental care to patients. We are looking for either a full or part time candidate. We do offer an additional compensation for our Saturday (8-2pm ) shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
- Take and document patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Perform 3D scanning of teeth
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked operatory
Experience
- Prior experience in dental assisting required
- Knowledge of Dentrix software is a plus
- Understanding of anatomy and vital signs
- Proficiency in using a 3D scanner for dental procedures
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques
- Ability to handle medical documentation accurately and maintain HIPAA compliance
- Strong assisting skills and willingness to learn new techniques
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 37 per week
