Job Summary

Position is on-site only (Ocala, FL).

The Data Automation & Reporting Analyst plays a key role in transforming data into actionable insights through automation, reporting, and visualization within the Data Integration team. This position is responsible for developing reports for audits, creating data visualizations for management oversight, and automating workflows to enhance operational efficiency. Utilizing tools such as Python, SQL, and data visualization platforms, the analyst will design and implement custom reports, dashboards, and robotic process automations (RPAs) to streamline processes and improve decision-making. 

Working within the FICS mortgage servicing platform and other servicing-related software, the analyst will ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems while supporting compliance, operational oversight, and performance tracking. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and technical expertise in data management and automation. The Data Automation & Reporting Analyst will collaborate with multiple departments, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and optimization of business processes while proactively identifying areas for improvement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Data Reporting & Visualization 

  • Develop and maintain custom reports to support audits, operational oversight, and compliance within the FICS mortgage servicing platform and related systems. 

  • Create interactive dashboards and data visualizations to provide real-time insights for management and team performance tracking. 

  • Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. 

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reports and visualizations, implementing validation and error-checking processes. 

Automation & Process Improvement 

  • Design and implement data-driven process automations, including robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to streamline workflows. 

  • Utilize Python, SQL, and scripting languages to automate repetitive data tasks and improve efficiency. 

  • Identify opportunities for workflow optimization within servicing operations and data integration processes. 

  • Maintain and improve existing automations, ensuring scalability and reliability. 

Data Integration & System Support 

  • Work within the FICS mortgage servicing platform and related servicing systems to support data integration efforts. 

  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless data flow between systems and maintain data consistency. 

  • Support data migrations and conversions related to new acquisitions, servicing transfers, and system enhancements. 

  • Troubleshoot data discrepancies, system issues, and automation failures, working cross-functionally to resolve them. 

Audit & Compliance Reporting 

  • Generate and validate reports for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and investor requirements. 

  • Develop data tracking mechanisms to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk metrics within servicing operations. 

  • Assist with responding to regulatory inquiries, providing accurate and well-documented data reports as needed. 

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 

  • Work closely with servicing teams, compliance, risk, and IT to ensure alignment of data-driven solutions with business needs. 

  • Provide training and documentation for internal users on how to access and utilize reports, dashboards, and automation tools. 

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously enhance data reporting and automation capabilities. 

  • Support ad-hoc data requests and special projects as assigned. 

Education, Experience and/or Skills: 

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field preferred. 

  • Equivalent work experience in data analytics, reporting, or mortgage servicing may be considered in lieu of a degree. 

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, automation, or business intelligence, preferably within mortgage servicing or financial services. 

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar). 

  • Experience with mortgage servicing platforms (FICS) and related servicing software is highly preferred. 

  • Strong background in report development, data extraction, and transformation (ETL processes). 

  • Hands-on experience in automating workflows using scripting languages or robotic process automation (RPA) tools. 

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance reporting in a mortgage servicing environment is a plus. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify process inefficiencies, and implement solutions. 

  • Experience working cross-functionally with IT, compliance, risk, and operational teams. 

Computer & Equipment Skills

  • Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)  

  • Word processing (speed and accuracy)  

  • MSP or FICS’ Mortgage Servicer a plus  

  • Email  

  • Internet software  

  • Use typical office equipment (computers, fax, phones, copiers, scanners, etc.)  

Physical Requirement

  • Vision (with or without correction) sufficient to read a computer screen and to operate office equipment 

  • Clear speaking voice on the telephone, in person, and recorded  

  • Hearing within normal ranges in noise environments typical of office 

  • Able to sit for long periods of time at computer or other work-station and in meetings 

  • Able to use computers and operate equipment 

  • Able to lift 10 pounds occasionally unassisted
