Job Summary:

The Operational Integrity Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining the compliance and operational excellence of the servicing division. This position is responsible for managing Action Plans related to regulatory changes and remediation, overseeing third-party audit vendors, and ensuring thorough audit oversight and due diligence. Additionally, the role includes systematic testing oversight to safeguard the division’s integrity. The Specialist also serves as a key contact for client support, addressing compliance-related inquiries and ensuring service quality is upheld.

Essential Duties:

• Develop and manage Action Plans to address remediation needs or regulatory changes, ensuring timely implementation and compliance.
• Oversee relationships with third-party audit vendors, coordinating audits and ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements.
• Conduct audit oversight and due diligence to maintain high standards of operational integrity across the servicing division.
• Lead systematic testing efforts to evaluate and ensure process effectiveness, accuracy, and compliance.
• Monitor and assess ongoing regulatory requirements, identifying areas for improvement or necessary updates to maintain compliance.
• Provide comprehensive client support, addressing inquiries and ensuring clear communication on compliance and service-related matters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes, ensuring compliance and risk management objectives are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all audit processes, findings, and resolutions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Participate in the development and improvement of internal audit frameworks and methodologies.
• Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information to facilitate smooth audit processes.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in audit oversight, compliance, or operational risk management, preferably within the mortgage servicing or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and audit processes in a servicing or financial environment.
• Experience working with third-party audit vendors and managing audit processes from start to finish.
• Proficiency in systematic testing, data analysis, and the implementation of audit findings and recommendations.

Computer and Equipment Skills

• Intermediate in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Word processing (speed and accuracy)
• MSP or FICS’ Mortgage Servicer a plus
• Email
• Internet software
• Use typical office equipment (computers, fax, phones, copiers, scanners, projectors, etc.)

Physical Requirement:

• Vision (with or without correction) sufficient to read a computer screen and to operate office equipment
• Clear speaking voice on the telephone, in person, and recorded
• Hearing within normal ranges in noise environments typical of office
• Able to sit for long periods of time at computer or other work-station and in meetings
• Able to use computers and operate equipment
• Able to lift 10 pounds occasionally unassisted
