What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Teacher - Clifton position at Essex Regional Educational Services Commission?
Responsibilities:
- Create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
- Provide early intervention and support for children with special needs
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Conduct assessments to track children's progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with other classroom teachers to support children's educational goals
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to enhance literacy education
- Provide small group academic support as needed
Requirements:
- Appropriate Certification for grade/subject area
- Successful prior teaching experience in grades K-8 and/or K-12
- Must pass CHRU background check
- Must have recent Tuberculosis screening
Nice to have:
- Previous experience working with children in a school setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with special education techniques and strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and classroom management
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
