POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT SOJOURN HIGH SCHOOL (Essex County Juvenile Detention Center)
Duties:
- Provide instruction and support to students in various subjects.
- Implement lesson plans and activities that promote childhood development and enhance learning.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters student engagement and participation.
- Follow established classroom procedures and routines to ensure a smooth transition for students in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules to create a safe and productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to address student needs and ensure continuity of instruction.
Skills:
- Ability to effectively tutor students in various subjects, including math and literacy education.
