What are the responsibilities and job description for the LNA Instructor position at Essex Westford School District?
Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a Licences Nursing Assistant Instructor to join the SkillTech team at the Center for Technology, Essex. This is a 10-week course, meeting twice a week in the evenings, from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm. The instructor will work closely with the SkillTech Program Coordinator and will be compensated based on the number of classes taught.
Primary job duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Integrate best practices into instructional plans to provide effective learning experiences and align with the approved syllabus.
- Prepare and request necessary supplies in advance, ensuring all materials are ready for class. Coordinate with the program coordinator to gain access to additional resources.
- Maintain accurate student attendance
- Plan classroom and field activities that balance instruction, demonstration, and work time.
- Assess student learning, communicate clear assessment criteria, and adjust lessons to support individual and group needs.
- Maintain student confidentiality
Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- Current RN or LPN license in Vermont.
- At least two years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a relevant field.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to helping students succeed.
- Comfortable using educational technology, including SmartBoard (training will be provided).
