GENERAL FUNCTION
Creating storylines and graphic language aligned with overall brand vision, the Senior Designer creatively brings to life brand themes, brand essence and design aesthetics to surface graphics on helmets, eyewear, and goggles. The Senior Designer is a visionary and able to efficiently and effectively execute creative aligned to brand foundation and business needs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drives delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant product graphics, stories, and executions
- Operates at a high level to meet the needs of multiple cross-functional clients and key stakeholders for the brand
- Translate briefs and brand guidelines to collaborate with marketing plans to execute and drive creative concepts
- Creates color CADs using trends in fashion and culture, competition, and past designs as catalysts
- Execute graphic product art in line with the brand. Provide technical expertise on ability to execute various types of graphics on different fabrications.
- Enhances product vision and comprehensive brand alignment by acting as a partner among other internal customers, including Design, Product, merchandising, Marketing, etc.
- Ensure delivery of concept, especially as it relates to surface graphics and aligns with design direction
- Partner with cross functional partners in collaboration, problem solving and openness
- Understand seasonal and trend changes and demands from consumer persona tied to brand foundation and be able to apply that to surface graphics
- Strong understanding of merchandising and executing colors and graphics against line plan
- Understands creative project executions and product storytelling cross category
- Inspire expansion of product platforms through design, product graphics, and color
- Executes and aligns storytelling through product design decisions through color, materials, and finishes
- Develops concepts and storytelling that align to product launch plan, based on vision and story strategies
- Performs market research and deliver trend reports to ensure alignment of product, vision, and design language and delivering inspiration and awareness of market insights
- Leads ongoing brand touchpoint opportunities around product vision, technologies and manufacturing with critical internal stakeholders
- Drives success through efficiency and accuracy, leveraging a strong understanding of vision and direction
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a design related field required
- 5 years of experience in creative work related to product color, materials, and finish.
- Experience with surface graphics on products
- Excellent creative problem-solving skills, including ability to assess revisions to existing products
- High level of ability to understand to quickly comprehend and integrate feedback
- Competency for innovation and conceptual thinking within the parameters of overall company vision and expectations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with a product strategy and/or merchandising team
- Basic understanding of persona and archetypes and their influence on design
Pay Range: $ - $126541.80
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
