GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Developer is a key member of the EyeMed IT team, responsible for leading the ETL development of complex software solutions that support strategic business objectives. This role involves working within a diverse team, utilizing both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies. The Senior Developer is responsible for executing development tasks using best practices, analytical skills, and technical expertise to transform business requirements into detailed designs and fully functional solutions. This includes building software based on design specifications and validating solutions through manual and automated unit testing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Partner with business operation teams to manage inbound and outbound ETL Data Exchange with Clients
• Working as part of a team, develop new customer facing data exchange applications to support new business initiatives and client demand
• Manage day-to-day changes and enhancements to custom and standard ETL mappings
• Work with Business Analyst and business leads to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for development
• Supports the technical design and development of software solutions
• Responsible for making key system design and integration decisions, ensuring that architectural principles are communicated and followed.
• Responsible for timely project deliverables.
• Ability to collaborate with development teams, requirements teams, and business units to identify, define, develop, and implement ETL code
• Oversee the development lifecycle of both internal and vendor development resources.
• Monitors usage of ETL jobs to identify potential performance issues, overloads, and bottlenecks.
• Identify, recommend and implement ETL process and architecture improvements.
• Lead code reviews, quality assurance processes, and build phases to ensure compliance with development standards and ETL architecture best practices
• Triage and troubleshooting performance issues on Oracle SQL / PLSQL / Powercenter Workflows

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related
• Strong understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle
• Strong understanding of relational database design and architecture
• Advanced Informatica design and development skills using Informatica Power Center 10.x and B2B Data Exchange 10.x. Expereince with IDMC, or a comparable ETL tool
• Minimum 4 years of experience in developing Informatica PowerCenter ETL mappings using Designer,Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL (19c preferred)
• Minimum 4 years of experience in writing advanced complex queries for analysis and troubleshooting as needed
• Must be well versed with database concepts like indexing, partitioning, performance tuning, explain plans, materialized views
• Minimum 2 years of experience writing Unix/Linux shell scripts
• Excellent oral/written communication
• Excellent organizational and analytical abilities & problem solver
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts and emerging technologies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in healthcare / insurance industry
• Experience integrating with Facets
• Works well under high pressure / critical situations
• Flexibility to work non-business hours to meet critical business needs
• Experience with HIPAA EDI

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
