Production Technician

POSITION SUMMARY

Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too Regarding process skills/tasks: Operates process & equipment efficiently. Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control. Regarding Mechanical skills/tasks: Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks. Lead small change-overs Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation. Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting and blocking if necessary. Complete all required documentation and data files during production.

THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too

• Is accountable for the performance of his/her equipment.
• Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
• Develops standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain deep understanding of the equipment.
• Troubleshoots stops in a structured way using the available tools: POS, BDE, etc.
• Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks.
• Lead changeovers
• Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as well with other persons involved in running the machine.
• Maintain optimal housekeeping.
• Secure the quality level of the products by regularly checking against the product specification, rejecting and blocking if necessary.
• Complete all required documentation and data files during production.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

• High School or GED required

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Production must be able to load multiple raw materials on to the line utilizing manipulator if needed.
• Production must be able to load boxes into box maker.
• Production must be able to load glue into tanks.
• Production must be able to utilize pallet jack, carts and hoists to transport raw materials and by-products.
• Production must be able to load and maintain ink levels.
• Production must be able to load bags for packaging into machine.
• . Production must be able to perform trouble shooting, preventative maintenance and daily cleaning duties such as but not limited to clean, sealing, lubricating and vacuuming debris off machines.
