About the Role
Essity Professional Hygiene North America is currently seeking a Production Planner for our finished goods manufactured internally by Essity. Preferred location is any corporate office or Professional Hygiene Manufacturing location in North America.

What You Will Do
- Schedule production for designated converting machines to best satisfy customer requirements, inventory stocking levels, or machine utilization levels designated by the Central Planning Department. Expedite or de-expedite orders as appropriate;
- Central point of contact for converting operation with regards to the production schedule and vital supply issues;
- Central point of contact for quality and service issues with vital supplies, this includes follow up with vendors for resolution of issues;
- Must demonstrate an ability to schedule equipment in any product area internally.
- Must demonstrate willingness to take on projects beyond the normal planning activities.
- Monitor current production conditions, adjusting the schedules to meet customer requirements, correct for deviations in production efficiencies, and account for seasonality and capacity constraints;
- Review supplies requirements and reorder as needed to maintain an uninterrupted production plan, while minimizing inventory exposure;
- Review and calculate supply and finished goods inventory and planning parameters for the resident information systems to ensure an adequate, but not excessive, stock on hand;
- Ensure data integrity in all production control systems;
- Communicate product availability information or production status information as requested;
- Balancing production capabilities and capacities across converting.
- Provide backup coverage for other Production Planners and schedulers as needed;
- Works with Resource Support Team/Operations to provide better solutions for customers through analysis of current planning bottlenecks and opportunities;
- Works with the Resource Support Team/Operations to optimize run schedules.
- Manages external warehouse inventories and transfers to ensure on site inventory and service level targets are maintained;
- Attend planning and operations meetings as needed.
- Coordinate with other planners for shared resources, as necessary;
- Complete objectives set forth in the annual review process in alignment with site objectives and vision;
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures necessary for effective planning and execution of product supply planning within a multi-site framework;

Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or an Associate degree with minimum two years of experience, or high school graduate with minimum of five years of experience;
- Planning experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment or other production/inventory planning related experience. Previous work in a team based environment a plus;
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills;
- Good problem solving and math skills;
- SAP or other production/inventory planning system is required;
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
