Job Description:
Assistant in maintaining the company’s inventory; interfaces and supports field service technicians in-house and occasionally in the field. Performs all shipping and receiving for company. Performs broad based office functions. Keeps the voice of the customer at the forefront at all time
Inventory, Shipping and Handling:
Process daily activities of the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Ensure all domestic and international shipping and receiving transactions are correct
Prepare all documents for shipments shipping labels, packing slips
Perform advanced daily ERP transactions material transfers, inventory adjustments and create new locations in warehouse.
Process orders for designated parts and products
Package and prepare products/parts/supplies for shipment. Receive packages/shipments Interfaces with shippers and may arrange for shipments
Warehouse duties including loading/unloading freight manually or by fork-lift operation. This may include warehouse organization and maintenance.
Establishes professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate personnel.
Answers the phone, takes messages and/or directs all calls to appropriate department/individual. Directs messages appropriately.
Field Service/Operations Support:
Assists field service technicians with collection, entry and filing of field service reports.
Assists with replenishment and stocking of field service vehicle inventor
Provides product support for field service technicians when they are in the field
Provides project support as required
In-house private label industrial soap production and delivery
May very occasionally assist with and/or perform preventative maintenance, repairs and service of industrial equipment in-house or in the field if qualified.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of a year in work related skill, knowledge or experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, well organized and dependable.
Understanding of the importance of being a team player to achieve organizational goals
Fluent in English with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Fork-lift experience preferred.
Driver’s license and excellent driving record required.
Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds; and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with facilities and logistics data.
Understanding of the importance of being a team player to achieve organizational goals
“PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is considered medium-to-heavy in nature and involves walking, standing, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, digging, pushing or raising objects and also involves exerting between 20 and 50 pounds of force on a recurring basis and 50 to 100 pounds of force on an occasional basis”
