Job Description: Apartment Make-Ready Technician
Job Summary: The Apartment Make-Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartment units for new residents. This includes performing necessary repairs, cleaning, and ensuring that all appliances and fixtures are in working order. The role ensures the apartment is in optimal condition for occupancy, helping maintain the property’s standards and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apartment Preparation: Inspect (and clean as needed) vacant apartment units, including common areas, to ensure they meet the property's standards.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Perform minor repairs such as patching walls, fixing plumbing issues, replacing light bulbs, and ensuring appliances are functional.
- Cleaning: Shampoo carpets and thoroughly clean apartments as needed, including, floors, windows, and bathrooms.
- Painting: Touch up or repaint areas as needed to ensure a fresh, welcoming environment for new tenants.
- Inventory Management: Ensure that necessary supplies and materials are available for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Collaboration: Work with the maintenance team, property management, and other departments to ensure efficient turnaround of units.
- Time Management: Prioritize tasks to ensure that apartments are prepared for new residents in a timely manner, meeting move-in deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Experience in apartment maintenance or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
- Must have own tools for minor repairs.
- Valid Driver's License
Working Conditions:
