The Estate and Elder Law Planning Center, is a law firm focusing on estate planning and elder law in Mountain Home Arkansas. Our law firm prides itself in being the first in north-central Arkansas to focus its practice exclusively on estate planning and elder law, opening its doors in 1998. As a result of 25 years of dedicated focus on one area of practice, we are able to offer the most advanced, complex planning and asset protection options in north-central Arkansas to date. We currently have two attorneys and 12 support staff, and the firm consists of four primary departments: Estate Planning and Asset Protection; Elder Law and Long-term Care Medicaid Planning; Funding; and Trust and Estate Administration. The firm has two subdepartments as well: probate and business formation. As the demand continues to grow for our services, we are looking to add a new associate attorney to our team who is interested in becoming a leading expert in a specific area of law. The selected candidate will start out working closely with our attorneys to learn the latest, most cutting-edge techniques and strategies to best satisfy our clients’ goals before ultimately transitioning into taking clients alone. The candidate will need to be ready to hit the ground running. Prior experience in estate planning and elder law is not required; our attorneys are prepared to invest in providing quality training to the right candidate who shows that they are dedicated to becoming the best.
Responsibilities:
· Preparing and amending various estate planning documents.
· Preparing court documents relating to probate and guardianships.
· Forming business entities and drafting organizational documents for them.
· Conducting client meetings and advising clients of their options and designing a plan to fit their specific circumstances and satisfy their goals.
· Attending court hearings for probate, guardianships, and related matters.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
· License to practice law in Arkansas.
· Excellent speaking and communication skills.
· Proficiency in legal research.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).
· Excellent writing and proof-reading skills.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to take thorough, concise, and organized notes.
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
· Proficiency in general office skills.
· Comfortable using and learning new technology.
· Desire to learn and develop new skills and expertise.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
· Familiarity with estate planning and elder law or related fields.
· Experience in finance;
· Experience analyzing common financial documents, property records, etc.
