Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the oversight and management of construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to stringent quality and safety standards. In this role, you will apply your project management expertise to resolve technical challenges and contribute to the strategic direction of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Lead all aspects of project management, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Create comprehensive project timelines, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and project milestones are met.
- Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring compliance with company policies and project specifications.
- Regularly communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring that expectations are managed and project updates are delivered in a timely and professional manner.
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed in accordance with design, safety, and quality standards.
- Analyze, review, and interpret structural drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards, with a focus on California state-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project personnel to ensure that designs are safe, sustainable, and buildable.
- Leadership & Coordination:
- Direct and mentor project team members, including subcontractors and junior staff, to foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety protocols, assess project progress, and resolve any issues.
- Prepare detailed project reports, including cost analysis, progress tracking, and risk assessments for senior management and clients.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project) to streamline project operations and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management preferably within the commercial construction sector.
- Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction standards, with an emphasis on California regulations.
- Strong proficiency in reviewing and interpreting structural drawings, technical designs, and construction plans.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and a strong understanding of construction-related technology.
