Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full or part-time Associate Attorney to join our Estate Planning & Elder Law team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience drafting estate planning documents and handling trust and estate administration. This role is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are passionate about helping seniors and families navigate the complexities of estate planning and elder law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
- Handling trust and estate administration, including probate, trust funding, and distribution
- Conducting client meetings, presenting estate planning strategies, and providing ongoing support
- Collaborating with our legal team to ensure client matters are handled efficiently and accurately
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar membership in Michigan
- 3 years of experience in estate planning and trust/estate administration
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail in estate planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple client matters efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge of Medicaid planning and elder law is a plus
