JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Building Systems Engineer is a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary technical expert responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, repair, and optimization of all building systems at The Estates at Acqualina. This role demands exceptional proficiency and hands-on expertise across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and advanced control systems. The individual will serve as the go-to specialist for complex, high-stakes repairs, and system upgrades, ensuring operational excellence and guest satisfaction.
REPORTS TO: Director of Engineering.
SUPERVISES: N/A
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Engineering Department.
Job involves working:
- Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- Under variable noise levels.
- Outdoors/indoors.
- Around fumes and/or odor hazards.
- Around dust and/or mite hazards.
- Around chemicals.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Director of Engineering, Assistant Chief Engineering, Engineering Manager R & M, staff in Engineering and all Departments.
External: Residents, guest/visitors, vendors and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in building engineering, with proven expertise in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and control systems.
- Advanced certifications in electrical systems (e.g., Journeyman or Master Electrician), HVAC (e.g., EPA 608/609), and BMS controls preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on sophisticated, multi-system challenges.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and leadership.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES
Essential:
- Exert physical effort in transporting a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Reach 12 inches.
- Remain in stationary position for 8hours or throughout work shift.
- Satisfactorily communicate with residents, management and co-workers to their understanding.
