Description
The Director of Global Social & Digital Strategy, Estee Lauder will be responsible for developing and enabling innovative social and digital strategies to elevate our brand's global presence, driving brand resonance, love & overall growth on key social platforms and beyond. This role requires a deep understanding of the digital landscape, proven social storytelling skills and content development, excellent written communication, strong leadership & project management expertise. The ideal candidate is a thinker, do-er and natural creative leader—bringing innovative thought leadership to the table with a strong, proven ability to execute with excellence. Partners closely with cross-functional teams (e.g. Creative, Marketing, PR), and supports strategic conversations with regions and local markets. Understands how to lead with influencer and has experience in working within matrix ownership landscape, typical of a large organization.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Social Digital Storytelling & Content Strategy: Spearhead the development of Social/Digital Big Ideas through deep understanding of key business priorities and the social/digital content landscape (including content formats, social conversations and key talent). Lead the development of thumb-stopping social-first content through strong briefing and close collaboration with creative & social channel managers. Work closely with PR to identify and nourish relationships with key talent.
- Social Digital Strategy Development: Develop strategic social digital strategies, inclusive of content and key social/digital activations. Leverage key insights, reporting & channel best practices. Partner closely with Global Social Channel Managers to create comprehensive strategic framework and activation guidance. Enable regional execution of these strategies through clear communication, resource development and ongoing conversations.
- Social/Digital Planning: With Executive Director, be across key marketing conversations, commercial planning & key moment development. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of all programs and support key conversations between marketing & the social team. Support development of fiscal year global activation and channel planning.
- Global/Regional Collaboration: Work closely with regional/local teams, across mature and emerging markets, to enable key social/digital strategies aligned to global messaging and priorities.
- Data Analysis and Implementation Reporting: Gather and analyze digital campaign performance, providing regular reports on key metrics both internal and on competitors. Utilize data insights to optimize campaigns and ensure maximum ROI.
Qualifications

- Excellent writing & verbal communication skills, including strong brief development.
- Demonstrated Project Management expertise, with an ability to manage multiple stakeholders, both internally & externally.
- Ability to interface with senior leaders in the organization
- Pop-culture obsessed—speaking in the language of cultural relevancy.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
- Strong quantitative skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- College Degree Required.
- 8 years experience with 5 years specifically in social/digital
- Active daily life in social/digital
- Branding/beauty/fashion/entertainment experience a must, agency experience a plus
- Demonstrated content development skills
- Leadership communication/presentations skills
Pay Range:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $117,000.00 to $202,100.00. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program as well as participation in the share incentive plan. In addition,
