Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Operations to lead our Construction initiatives. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in New Home Construction in similar roles in the industry. The Vice President of Operations is responsible for managing and coordinating operations teams to achieve established goals within the construction field. This role involves overseeing construction activities, ensuring quality control, maintaining safety standards, and developing departmental budgets. The VP of Operations also plays a key role in fostering relationships with trade partners and improving customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Generate and implement all construction field policies and procedures.
- Communicate with sales, accounting, purchasing, and land development to achieve company goals.
- Manage and supervise construction activities in the field through project managers and superintendents.
- Oversee field operations, production times, and ensure quality control for homes built to meet Estela Living quality standards.
- Ensure the Construction Department meets all safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations.
- Review performance of subcontractors and conduct job site visits to check quality on a weekly basis.
- Develop departmental budget and control expenditures.
- Recognize talent, recruit, retain, and motivate a team across all functions required to run a successful division.
- Promote construction team relationships and partnerships with trade partners, ensuring communication and accountability.
- Analyze customer satisfaction surveys, identify trends, and implement solutions to improve scores.
- Drive processes to ensure cost-effective products and provide recommendations to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and enhance company goodwill and profit.
- Collaborate with management in product selection, understanding market trends, consumer preferences, and competition.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
