Audit Associate

Esterbrooks Certified Public Accountants, Ltd. is a local CPA firm with offices in Duluth and Superior, employing a team of 20 professional staff. We specialize in a range of services, including tax, audit, payroll, and bookkeeping, all with a commitment to providing high-quality service to our clients. We are looking to hire an Audit Associate for our Duluth office with a tremendous opportunity for professional growth supported by mentoring, continuing education, and access to decades of partner CPA experience.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of local nonprofits and governmental entities.
• Draft financial statements with disclosures and prepare tax filings.
• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure clarity and understanding.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and government regulations.
• Develop a working knowledge of various software programs.
• Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret and evaluate information, ensuring client explanations are appropriately documented.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively solve problems.
• Strong multitasking abilities.
• Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
