Are you looking for a flexible, part-time job that lets you enjoy the outdoors and work with flowers? Our small, local cut flower farm in Scottsville is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team!
Job Details:
- Hours: Approximately 2 hours per day, Monday through Friday (mornings only), 10 hours total per week
- Pay: $18-$20 per hour, depending on experience. Plus, a seasonal bonus based on production.
- Location: Estes Farm in Scottsville, VA (must have reliable transportation)
- Season: March to November/December
Job Description: This is a very manual, hands-on position. The tasks will include bending, stretching, kneeling, digging, and lifting. Daily duties may include planting seeds and plugs, weeding, harvesting flowers, spreading soil, laying landscape fabric, and much more. You’ll be helping with the care and harvest of flowers, working outside in a beautiful setting. While gardening, farming, or flower experience is a bonus, it is not required — we will provide on-the-job training and all needed equipment and materials.
Ideal Candidate:
- Able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
- Comfortable with physical work and being outdoors
- Motivated and responsible, with a great work ethic
- Reliable transportation to get to our farm daily
- Gardening, farming, or flower experience is a plus but not necessary
