Skills And Abilities
Position functions semi-autonomously and directly supervises 1-10 employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education/Experience
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 5 years minimum of Operational experience working for an International Freight Forwarder. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.

Travel
Periodic travel up to 5% required.

- Position Pay Range $80,000.00-$90,000.00 annually

- Responsible for managing and developing the continued growth of the International Pricing Department.
- Responsible for monitoring, reporting, and analyzing all freight quotes and looking for opportunities to lower cost and gain transportation efficiency.
- Continually analyze data to develop transportation improvements.
- Responsible for finalizing and presenting customer rate packages as needed.
- Analyze Request for Quote material from internal customers to determine structure for strategy to support business needs.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of new/prior client’s freight rates for profitability and operation.
- Comply with company C-TPAT and TSA security procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Minimum five years’ experience in International Freight Forwarding operations, and quoting.
- Proven competence to communicate clearly and persuasively with all levels of an organization.
- Must be a self-starter and able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment with little direction.
- A team player with a high level of energy and self-motivation.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, as well as establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and written/oral communication skills.
- Maintain stable performance under pressure with the ability to handle stress well.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects and set priorities.
- Ability to read and interpret complex business and/or technical documents, including RFQ.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and detailed business correspondence.
- Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts.
- Ability to present to groups across the organization.
- Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions.
- Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
