Delivery Driver

Job summary:

An outside position for an individual who enjoys driving on the highway and residential neighborhoods. This person will be exerting customer service on delivery for a company whose main goal is to provide excellent service to our customers. This position will require front line inventory management with checks and balance procedures to provide accuracy of material delivery and pick up. This position requires a person that is comfortable operating equipment, demonstrates time management, can perform basic maintenance on equipment, demonstrates a willingness to learn about natural stone and construction related supplies, has the ability to lift 50 lbs., could restack a broken or dumped pallet, can climb in, out, up, and down on equipment freely, has the ability to throw heavy strapping to strap down a load, and as well as can exert downward force to secure the load with a ratchet bar. This position will require a person that enjoys being outdoors and in the elements at times. Main daily responsibilities will include delivery to our customers, picking up inventory from our vendors, and driving equipment such as forklifts and bobcats to load and unload trucks of all sizes. This job requires product identification for the ability to verify the delivery truck is loaded correctly. This position requires impromptu customer service as issues present themselves on delivery, as well as the ability to identify unsafe environments to avoid unknown hazards while on delivery and adhere to DOT and local laws, as well as state laws when in different states. This person has a mind for safety and can perform daily vehicle inspections, daily reporting logs, can help with yard cleanliness & maintenance, and has basic abilities to perform light paperwork and record keeping. This position will also work to assist our yard manager with inventory and customer loading demands and demonstrates a willingness to perform other duties as needed by the yard manager when we do not have deliveries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Delivering products to jobsites using dump truck and flatbed with piggyback forklift. Keeping accurate delivery logs. Operation of forklifts and Bobcat loaders to load/unload customer vehicles and semis as needed when not delivering. Help pull customer orders and keep yard cleaned up as needed per the yard manager if no deliveries are scheduled.

Qualifications and requirements:

CDL: Class B with airbrake no automatic restrictions

Equipment Operation: Forklifts, Bobcat loader, front end loader helpful but not required.

Job:

This is a full-time job. 40 hours per week as needed. Pay based off experience and skills.

Experience:

• Commercial Driving: 1 year (Preferred)
