Position Overview:

Are you seeking high-altitude experiences and have a passion for customer service? We’re on the lookout for a safety-conscious, attentive, and friendly team member to join us as Car Attendant. Your mission: ensure our guests have a smooth, safe, and exciting journey to the top of Prospect Mountain! As a Car Attendant, you’ll play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for visitors while prioritizing safety and comfort. You’ll greet guests, assist with boarding, and share interesting facts about the tramway and surrounding scenery. Your attentiveness to safety protocols and ability to remain calm under pressure will be essential in this high-altitude environment.

Schedule:

• Availability to work weekends and some holidays

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• Safety-conscious and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable working at high elevations.
• Excellent at multitasking and staying alert.
• Great at communicating with people of all ages.
• Quick learner, ready to assist with tram operations.
• Comfortable with implementing emergency procedures if needed - training provided.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to work 3-4 days per week with a flexible schedule.
• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Can stand and walk for extended periods.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong verbal communication skills required.

Key Responsibilities:

Car Attendant

• Assist with loading and unloading passengers safely.
• Ensure guests have the proper reservation to enter the car.
• Analyze lift loads and organize lines efficiently.
• Ensure all morning pre-operational and evening shut-down procedures are followed.
• Maintain surface of loading area and maze throughout the day.
• Train in safety procedures including rope evacuations if necessary.
• Provide friendly customer service and share interesting facts about the area.
• Assist with the general cleanliness of the work area including trash removal, sweeping, restrooms, restocking, etc.

Cross-Train as Ticket Attendant

• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming first impression of the tramway.
• Sell ride tickets and manage reservations using the ticketing system.
• Answer guest questions about pricing, ticket options, and schedules.
• Provide information about Estes Park Aerial Tramway, including pre-boarding instructions, summit activities, and local attractions.
• Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to enhance their experience.
• Ensure the ticket booth and surrounding areas are clean and organized.
• Responsible for rebooking or refunding customers during inclement weather.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
