Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced classic car fabricator to run the shop side of our restoration business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and hiring future members of the fabrication team, ensuring quality control, and optimizing revenue. This role requires a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, including welding, metal fabrication, highly organized as well as the ability to lead a diverse team.
For those unfamiliar, Estrada Customs is a family owned classic car fabrication and restoration shop We’ve been in business over 20 years and pride and ourselves in our high quality of work across all ranges of cars. We work on everything from classic American muscle to pre war classics to classic European cars and more.
Responsibilities
- Lead the restoration shop and all skills required with restoring a classic car
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the fabrication team to ensure efficient operations.
- Work closely with ownership to optimize efficiency of the shop, prioritize tasks and enhance the brand that ownership has already built.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery for various fabrication tasks including welding, metal work, and paint preparation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and work areas to maintain safety standards.
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in fabrication techniques and safety protocols..
- Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance to upper management.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a fabrication and/or metal working. Management experience a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with welding techniques, machining practices, metal working, paint preparation and other tasks involved with restoration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Provide ownership with ideas on how to improve current processes and/or provide new ideas how to optimize the shop.
- Must possess a high level of integrity and also be able to thrive without someone looking over their shoulder.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
