The Mental Health Technician (MHT) provides critical support to patients participating in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) programs. MHTs assist with daily activities, ensure a safe environment, and support clinical staff in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care and Monitoring:
- Supervise and support patients during therapeutic and recreational activities.
- Monitor patient behaviors and maintain a safe and structured environment.
- Provide assistance and guidance in day-to-day activities, ensuring patient compliance with program rules.

Transportation Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from the facility or other approved locations as required.
- Ensure safe transportation practices and compliance with all traffic laws.
- Maintain a good, clean driving record and report any changes immediately.

Documentation and Communication:
- Record detailed, timely notes on patient behaviors, incidents, and progress.
- Relay patient concerns or observations to clinical staff for appropriate follow-up.

Program Support:
- Assist in setting up and cleaning spaces for group therapy, meals, and activities.
- Support clinical and administrative teams as needed in maintaining the program’s operations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional education or certification in behavioral health preferred.
