ETAP’s Automation Division is currently looking for a smart, experienced, motivated Senior Automation Engineer to design, test and support our industry-leading Real-Time systems. The Engineer will work across various functional groups directly involved in engineering, product development, implementation, and international partners' project support. The ideal candidate is an inventive problem solver who is capable of working through technical challenges and employing pragmatic solutions. Job Responsibilities:
System Integration and support of ETAP Real-Time solutions, including Power Monitoring, HMI, SCADA, ADMS, Operator Training Simulator.
Lead in mentoring, completing, and implementing project work within agreed scope, schedule, and budget to a high level of quality and safety
Develop and maintain a proficient level of ETAP Real-Time products and solutions for power automation.
Support project plans and meet with ETAP project clients and outline project details, including scope, objectives, and deliverables
Commissioning, functional testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues related to SCADA communications, HMI operation, and Power Management systems.
Perform product training
Required Qualifications:
Has a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems Automation
Project experience and technical knowledge in:
Implementation of Industrial or Substation Automation Solutions (Power Monitoring, SCADA, Energy Management, ADMS)
Integration of SCADA Systems applied to Electrical Systems such as Power Monitoring, Energy Management, Load Shedding
Integration using substation communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 104, DNP3, Modbus, OPC DA/UA.
Has designed control and protection panels for High, Medium, and Load voltage implementations.
Preferred experience
Design LAN for utility/industrial applications.
Communication Architecture Definition
Usage of RTU/Data Concentrators for Power Automation Applications such as data concentrators.
Experience in programming HMI and SCADA for Electrical Systems such as Electrical SCADA, Power Monitoring, Energy Management, Load Shedding.
Experience in troubleshooting substation communication protocols (IEC61850, Modbus, DNP3) using protocol analyzers.
Experience in programming IEC 61131-3 (Ladder, Structure Text, Function Block) for PLCs or RTUs for Power Automation control schemes such as Load Shedding or Energy Management / Generation Control.
Experience in instrumentation and control panels
Experience in field commissioning substation automation projects.
Understands
Protection systems implementation
IED’s and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or RTU programming.
Telecommunications infrastructure for SCADA \ ADMS implementations
