The Racquets Professional is responsible for providing high-quality private and group tennis instruction to players of all ages and skill levels. This role includes teaching lessons, maintaining tennis courts, assisting with club events, and ensuring an exceptional member experience. The ideal candidate will be passionate about tennis, possess strong communication and leadership skills, and be dedicated to fostering a positive and engaging environment for members.
Responsibilities
- Teach private lessons, clinics, camps, and other tennis-related events.
- Develop lesson plans to improve players' technique, strategy, and overall skill level.
- Offer guidance on game tactics, including positioning, movement, and strategy.
- Work both independently and as part of a team to enhance the club’s tennis programs.
- Assist in organizing and managing tournaments, mixers, and special events.
- Oversee junior development programs, including camps and leagues.
- Responsible for several hours of tennis court maintenance and racquet stringing.
- Maintain accurate records of lessons, member participation, and billing.
- Promote club programs and events through newsletters and social media.
- Maintain tennis courts and ensure proper care of facilities and equipment.
- Referring to them by their last names and honoring their preferences.
- Exhibit an outgoing and pleasant personality while representing the club.
- Be self-motivated and exhibit excellent communication skills.
- Must work both independently and in a team environment.
- Always exude an outgoing and pleasant personality and should enjoy working with members.
- All other duties, as assigned
- Division I college playing experience preferred.
- Previous tennis coaching or teaching experience required (3-5 years preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- USPTA membership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and lesson plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. across short-medium distances.
- Must be able to stand for the entirety of a shift while reaching, bending, and stooping.
- Must be able to work on-site due to daily job requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, intense environment under extreme heat and stress.
Salary : $13 - $15
