ETC is searching for a new Welder II to join our team in our Mazomanie office! Our ideal candidate will have a technical diploma in welding, great mechanical aptitude, knowledge of structural welding techniques, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
This role is responsible for welding our live event rigging hoists that utilize stick and flux core welding processes, so knowledge and experience with these are preferred. If you like to have variety in your workday, this is the job for you because everything is custom, therefore each day is different!
This is a first shift, Monday-Friday position, and no weekends are required! ETC offers a clean, climate-controlled facility, fantastic benefits that start on day one of employment, and a casual work environment.

Representative Responsibilities:
Fabricates, welds, grinds, cuts, and erects structural metal frames to standards and specifications
Operates cranes to move structural frames and other materials around the shop
Fabricates product by cutting and welding metals
Ensures parts are fabricated to print specifications
Maintains expected productivity output levels and completes assignments as scheduled
Ensures quality meets standards by checking measurement and parts are welded to meet the correct orientation
Selects the appropriate welding application and performs visual quality checks to ensure welding reflects correct penetration
Follows ISO procedures
Adheres to safety standards at all times
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
Formal one year technical diploma in welding or equivalent work experience
3 years production welding experience, structural welding experience preferred
Proven competency to be able to be certified in:
AWS D1.1 3G SMAW Certification
AWS D1.1 1G FCAW Certification
AWS D1.1-08 GMAW Certification
Knowledge of metalwork theory
Knowledge of various welding techniques (TIG, MIG, Stick, Flux Core) and able to adjust equipment to its proper setting
Able to lift, carry, push and or pull up to 50 lbs. frequently
