Job Overview:

The ATSG Academy Instructor is responsible for the successful onboarding of new team members who attend the ATSG Academy. Onboarding new team members includes classroom instruction, hands-on training and follow-up testing and evaluation. The ATSG Academy Instructor will also be responsible for making sure the onboarding process is meeting the needs of the organization and providing the necessary education for team members to be successful in their roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Train new team members on the necessary information for them to be successful in their roles.
• Create an efficient training regiment that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience.
• Responsible for completion of all classroom and skills evaluations. Analyzes evaluations to identify areas that team members may need more instruction. Sets up additional training if needed.
• Coordinates training session times and length with that of department leaders to maximize learning while at the same time meeting the needs of production output.
• Partners with stakeholders to create effective training programs that are aligned with the business needs and goals.
• Uses instructional design practices to create and adapt curriculum.
• Identifies key metrics of success, monitors metrics and provides analysis when requested to other leaders.
• Improves knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications regarding training topics and trends.
• Completes special projects and other duties as assigned.
• Understands ETE core values and leads by example.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED. Advanced education a plus.
• At least one (1) year of experience leading training sessions and/or corporate training experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge. Automotive and/or transmission experience highly desired.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Spanish language skills a plus.
• Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, and decision-making skills.
• Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others.
• Strong communication skills with great attention to detail. Ability to “sell” the organization.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

This position will be located in a training room, in a manufacturing facility. You will be exposed to a variety of smells and odors due to the manufacturing process. Oil and other lubricants are plentiful and team members will get dirty. You will also be exposed to moderate to high noise coming from the manufacturing area. Eye protection and steel toed footwear is required on the manufacturing floor.
