What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Shop Technician: 1st Shift position at ETE REMAN?
The Machine Shop Technician is responsible for the general upkeep of the Machine Shop. In this flexible role, the Machine Shop Technician will ensure the shop is in good working order, machines are clean and ready for use and help with inventory and parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- General upkeep of the Machine Shop:
- Organization of tools and PM of tools
- Emptying scrap containers and cleaning up floor
- Helping with sweeping and mopping of floor, keep the floor safe and the walkways clear
- Document procedures when necessary
- Maintain Machine Shop Equipment:
- Repair or replace worn equipment and/or parts
- Document and check all fluids on machines
- Balance coolant concentrations for PH and Brix levels
- Clean machines as necessary or required. Document
- Monitor coolant skimmers and keep chemicals organized and inventoried
- Operate the forklift when necessary
- Drive company vehicle to make/pick-up deliveries
- Assist other Machine Shop team members with jobs, step in and help when asked; float as necessary based on workload
- Learn Machine Shop functions, become proficient in Machine Shop layout and equipment

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent. Valid drivers license
- At least two (2) year of experience working in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude strongly desired; ability to understand basic math
- Strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and programs; work in cross-department teams
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow up skills
- Self starter with a “solutions” mindset
- Ability to promote and live ETE Values on a daily basis. Willingness to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
